A collaboration between Ensign College of Public Health, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology-School of Medical Sciences and the University of Utah-Division of Public Health to help enrich training of medical students. The Medical Elective program has over the years become one of the core activities of the medical curriculum.


Scale-Up of Successful Interventions

The program now hosted at the Ensign College of Public Health introduces final year medical students to principles of Public Health. The coursework which takes 4 weeks to complete focuses on building research capacity and community intervention prowess of students. The first cohort of 2018 hosted medical students of the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology. Other extra curricular activities including hiking, boat rides, swimming, excursion trips and other fun activities make the program super exciting.
