  • Through extremely hard work he teamed up with the international reconstructive plastic surgery (ghana) project, a scottish ngo (now called resurge africa) to establish the first ever burns intensive care unit (bicu) in ghana at the komfo anokye teaching hospital, kumasi.
  • As a pioneer reconstructive Plastic surgeon in ghana, in the knust and kath, his duties include undergraduate and postgraduate teachings in all aspects of plastic, reconstructive, aesthetic, hand and burns surgery including wounds, chronic ulcers, buruli ulcers, keloids and hypertrophic scars, burns, breast diseases, superficial lesions, congenital malformations including cleft lip and palate, hand surgery including congenital limb malformations and acute hand injuries. His surgical expertise in his specialized field of reconstructive plastic surgery has brought hope and relief to many such as those afflicted with huge macromastic breasts, breast cancer patients, several unfortunate children born with severe birth defects who had no hope of life, severely burned patients, severely injured patients as a result of road traffic accidents, etc.
  • He has been instrumental in offering surgical outreach support to the buruli ulcer endemic districts of the Ashanti region especially in the Amansie West District where he helped in the establishment of the first ever buruli ulcer clinic at Tontokrom and the training of personnel for buruli ulcer management at the St. Martin’s Catholic hospital at Agroyesum.
