“I believe in open door policy”-New registrar at School of Medical Sciences (SMS), KNUST

 

“I believe in open door policy”-New registrar at School of Medical Sciences (SMS), KNUST.

The newly appointed registrar at the School of Medical Sciences (SMS), Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Mr. Christopher Addo says, he’s committed to making his office more accessible and responsive.

He believes in creating a transparent environment where faculty, staff, stakeholders and students feel comfortable sharing ideas and suggestions.

“I believe in open door policy, we’re more than willing to get any suggestions to improve our work,” he said.

Mr. Addo began his journey at KNUST where he served as an assistant registrar at the Institute of Distance Learning for four years.

He then moved on to roles as senior assistant registrar at the E-learning department before his recent transfer to the School of Medical Sciences (SMS) in December 2024.

With a background in Information Technology, problem-based learning and customer service, Mr. Addo is focused on enhancing the quality of services within the school.

“Our predecessors have laid a solid foundation, and my goal is to build on that to improve systems and services to better support our academic and administrative functions,” he added

Looking ahead, he has promised to help SMS produce graduates who are globally competitive.

“We basically help the Dean to achieve the mandate the university has given him

We’ll ensure the graduates we produce are comparable anywhere in the world,” he revealed
