Dr. Ernest Kwadwo Puni Kwarko, alumnus of the KNUST School of Medical Sciences (SMS), paid a visit to Prof. Akwasi Antwi Kusi, Dean of SMS, to formally thank him after being honoured with a Distinguished Individual Award at the 3rd KNUST College of Health Sciences Excellence Awards.

Dr. Kwarko said he visited to show his appreciation for the school’s leadership and the support he had received over the years. “I made this visit to show my gratitude, not just for the award, but for all the support the Dean and School have given me through the years,” he said.

He described the recognition as meaningful and expressed thanks for the dean’s role in his journey, “This recognition is very significant to me … I am grateful for the Dean’s role in my journey.”
 

During their meeting, Dr. Kwarko also thanked his family for their sacrifices.
