The KNUST School of Medical Sciences has officially unveiled a commemorative monument to mark its 50th anniversary, thanks to a generous donation from Dr. Ernest K.P. Kwarko, an alumnus from the Class of 1999.
The monument, which stands as a symbol of the school's legacy and progress, features a roll call of past deans and key figures in the school's history.
Students joined faculty members and alumni in witnessing the unveiling, which formed part of ongoing activities to mark the school's golden jubilee.
Addressing the gathering, Prof. Christian Agyare, Provost of the College of Health Sciences, encouraged students to take inspiration from the gesture.

“Emulate the example of Dr. Ernest K.P. Kwarko when you become alumni,” he said.
Dean of the School of Medical Sciences, Prof. Akwasi Antwi Kusi, commended Dr. Kwarko for his consistent support over the years.
“Dr. Kwarko has always demonstrated a strong commitment to the growth of the school, and this monument is a testament to that enduring bond,” he noted.

The monument stands not only as a marker of the school's past achievements but also as a call to future generations to contribute to the institution's continued success.
